About New Hope Rescue
New Hope Rescue
New Hope Rescue was established as a non-profit organization to work
with people in our area who are involved in, or wish to be involved in,
rescuing equines (and other animals), and working with them to establish
a system that will benefit each rescued animal and provide support
through each step of the animal’s rehabilitation.
Taking on the responsibility of rescuing and rehabilitating a large animal,
like a horse, can be an extremely expensive, time consuming and
exhausting endeavor.
In the past, when a horse needed rescuing, Animal Control Officers,
neighbors and concerned animal lovers relied on the good will and
concern of local individuals to come to the aid of the stricken animal by
personally providing the facilities and finances to rehabilitate and then
find the animal a permanent home.
We feel this responsibility and expense can be, and should be, shared by
the community at large and have set up the following goals to achieve
that.
OUR GOALS
1. Locate individuals who have the facilities and are interested in caring
for equines and others rescued in our area.
2. Locate individuals who are willing to provide permanent homes to the
rescued animals once they have been rehabilitated.
3. Develop fundraising to help pay for the large veterinarian and farrier
bills that always come with a rescue.
4. Fundraise to pay for the feed, hay, grain, vet care, medication,
supplements, and on-going costs of getting the rescue animal back to
health.
5. Locate donations of hay, grain or other items to offset the costs of
caring for these animals.
6. Inform and educate the community of the problems of abuse and
neglect of equines and others in our area.
