New Hope Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, set up to help
equines and other animals in need in our area through rescue, adoption,
education, and veterinary/spay/neuter assistance.  We do not have a
shelter, but rather the animals are homed with volunteers while they are
being rehabilitated. Some animals are ready for adoption quite quickly;
others take many long months to overcome physical and emotional
abuses. We don't rush them. We do offer them new hope for a brighter
future.

Our group is run solely with donations.  Please visit the
how to help!

WE LOVE OUR VETERINARIANS!!!!!!
We couldn't do ANY of this without their help.
They save the ones that come to us sick and injured, they help us make decisions that no-one wants to make, they
support us and they cry with us.  They are our heroes!!!!!!

The mustangs: A mustang mare and her four year old filly, found starving in a mud pit
of a pen. I have to wonder...
How many of the BLM
mustangs end up like
this?

5/27/09:
We had a big dog rescue last weekend: we
brought in 30 dogs from a puppy mill situation.
Most are old retired breeders. All need basic vet
care and most need more due to skin issues, eye
problems, old wounds, etc. All need to be
spayed/neutered.
There will be more dogs coming from this place,
so we are working with other rescues now to
make room for the next batch. Any help you
give-- even just spreading the word to everyone
you know, even if you can't donate now-- helps
us get closer to helping more of these dogs.

These little dogs have never known love.
They have never had a belly rub, a toy, good
food, a soft bed, or a cuddle on the sofa.
Please help us to help as many of them as
possible...
Thank you all so much!!!! We can't do this without you!!!!

UPDATE 9/1/09:
As of this month, we have rescued,
rehabbed, and rehomed (with the help of
other rescues) 50 dogs from this situation.
Many, many thanks to all who came forward.
We still have $3,000 in oustanding vet bills
from this rescue effort... so please consider
making a donation!!!!
The puppy mill rescues:
We have to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Debbie Sewell and Susan Eveland for all that
they did to set up our first ever charity event on November 14. These ladies worked
tirelessly to develop and organize the event. I don't know where their energy comes
from, but I'm glad they have it!
Especially since they have been busy setting up their own business-- a consignment
tack shop right in Toano, where it's been very needed. Please visit their site below and
show them some support!!!! And thank you ladies-- and Devin-- for all that you've done
and continue to do for the animals at New Hope!!!!!

Southern States SHOW Program

This is a BIG fundraiser for us!! And
it's an easy one-- all you do is cut the
proof of purchase symbols off the
backs of your bags of Triple Crown,
Legends, or Reliance horse feeds.
Save them up for a bit... then send
them to us!! That's it!!

We redeem each POP for cash to be
used towards feed and vet bills. Each
Triple Crown and Legends POP brings
us .25 cents, and each Reliance brings
us .10 cents. And boy, do they add up!!

Please spread the word about this to
your friends!!!

We're in crisis mode.

We made it through the winter... almost. But our funds are
depleted. We are unable to take in any new rescues, and we are
struggling to keep up with bills for the ones we have. Donations
are down roughly 95%. Please help us spread the word for help...
we don't want to face the fact that we may have to shut our
doors... the next couple of months will tell. :-(
